10 Ways to Bond With Your Bridal Party

You have probably chosen some of your closest friends or family to be your bridesmaids, but they might not actually know each other. You don’t want your wedding to be the first time they meet, so it’s time to organize some fun ways for you all to get to know each other.

Although you’re close, you might not have seen one of your ’maids for a while , so you should take the chance and catch up on all their news. You might even find out something you never knew about a friend – even if you have known someone all your life they can still surprise you!

If you have groomsmen in the same boat – why not invite them along and get to know them too. You’ll be glad you did it on your big day. Check out these pre-wedding bonding ideas that are fun for all!

Take a trip

While your friends might not have time for a night away, you could go out for the day and do something together. Whether it’s a day at a museum or a paintballing session, do something you enjoy to get everyone together.

Visit a spa

Wedding planning can be stressful, so if ever you needed a day at a spa then it’s now! Get your girls together for some R&R at a spa, and enjoy some quality time together.  Spend the day having massages, facials manicures, pedicures, and lounging around – pure bliss!

Drink some tea

Get your girls together for some tea and cake and get to know each other. You could make place names so you mix up the group, and also have a fact about each person to prompt conversations.

Have a girl’s night

What better way to get to know each other than a girly night in with all your ’maids. Watch some trashy movies, make some popcorn and have some laughs – all perfect ways to bond.

Embrace your theme

If you have a theme for your wedding day you could do something related to your theme. If it’s a rustic wedding – visit an old house. If you have a sports themed wedding – go enjoy a day watching your favorite team. If you have no theme then just think of something related to the day like

Arrange a photoshoot

Hire a photographer or get a friend with a camera to come and meet you at a local beauty spot. Take some fun photos (and get everyone involved in giving ideas) and have some fun creating memories!

Go camping

Are you and your bridesmaids adventure lovers? Get into the great outdoors and spend a night under the canvas. Disconnect from the world and really enjoy each other’s company.

Play some games

Try some games to break the ice, whether it’s a few board games or a full on day of fun. You could do some silly races like the three legged race, or a pogo race and bring out the competitive (but friendly) side of your wedding party.

Create a survey

Want an easy way to get everyone to know each other? Create a simple survey of silly facts that everyone can fill out. Then when you’re together you can try and guess who the fact relates to!

Have a night out

You have the bachelorette / hen party to look forward to, but get your bridesmaids together for a fun night out! You could get the groomsmen to join you, once you’ve got the initial ice-breakers down.
