5 Super Cute Budget Bridal Shower Ideas Every Bride Will Love

The big day isn’t far away, so it’s time to get the girls together for the bridal shower! But with so many ideas out there it can be a bit overwhelming! To make it easier we have five super cute ideas for pre-wedding bridal showers which are fun and, best of all, easy to put together on a tight budget!

Back in time!

The retro look is still in style, and a 50s retro bridal shower is one that’s easiest to pull off. If the bride loves a vintage look, then she will adore this bridal shower, and the guests will too! First of all everyone can get the look, there’s no need to buy a whole new outfit, you can just add a headscarf or some 50s style accessories. Then there are the cupcakes, the iced cookies, bunting and vintage looking china – all of which are easy to pick up in stores or borrow from friends. You can have games based around 50s TV shows or music of the era. If you want to push the boat out you could even get an Elvis impersonator! The options are endless, and lots of the details are easy to make at home. Just look back to the 1950s for inspiration.

Flower power!

Lauren Conrad’s bridal shower was filled with floral patterns and pastel shades - from the vintage looking china to her cute napkins and straws. There were lots of adorable touches like napkins monogrammed with #TellMeYouLoveMe and ‘Almost Mrs. Tell’ in honor of Lauren’s husband-to-be. If you want to go girly like Lauren there are plenty of ways to include pretty florals into a bridal shower. You could host a vintage floral high tea with lots of pretty details, go to a flower arranging class, or spend an evening making flower inspired cocktails. Or why not have a pearl inspired soiree with lots of floral touches, or a countryside themed shower with lots of wildflowers. You could even have a seasonal focused theme with detailing that reflects the season you have chosen. Your theme can be used on everything from the invitations to decorations, and your food to your games.

Party for a Princess!

Every bride feels like a princess on her wedding day, so why not make her a princess for her bridal shower too! You can go all out Disney and take inspiration from movies like Snow White, Cinderella or even Disney’s latest Maleficent or you could do something a bit different. Why not look back to old legends for princesses, or take inspiration from more modern princesses like Princess Grace of Monaco or Princess Madeleine and Princess Charlene. You could even take inspiration from other movie princesses like 80s classic The Princess Bride or The Princess Diaries. When it comes to a princess themed bridal shower don’t be afraid to bend the rules!

By the sea!

You don’t have to live near the ocean to have a beach themed bridal shower - you can bring the beach to you! Look for coastal inspired décor like lanterns, seashells, beach furniture and of course, sand. You can have beach games and lots of beach balls scattered around your venue. Perfect food for a beach themed bridal shower is of course seafood. Try canapés of prawns shrimp and other shellfish, or delicious salmon and tuna salads. If you aren’t a fan of fish you could try burgers or a salad buffet – any food that makes you think of the beach! You could even vary up your theme with a Hawaiian luau party filled with color, flowers like orchids and hibiscus as centerpieces, and plenty of coconuts!

Hearts and love!

Weddings are filled with love so it makes the perfect bridal shower theme! The perfect date for this bridal shower is around Valentine’s Day, but you can really have it any day of the year. Stock up on heart shaped balloons, cushions, decorations and table settings. You can get heart shaped plates and bowls on which you can serve heart shaped nibbles and snacks. If that’s a bit OTT for you, just have a few hearts around the place and add romantic accents of patterns like damask which will add a classic feel to the day. What’s great about the hearts and love theme is that you can get what you need in most stores and online – so if you’re on a budget then you can get a lot for your money if you shop around.
