Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden are Married!

After eight months of dating, Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden have  tied the knot at their Beverly Hills mansion. The couple announced their engagement on December 19 and clearly didn’t want to hang around!

Of course the wedding had an A-List guest list including Reese Witherspoon, Gwyneth Paltrow, Drew Barrymore and Nicole Richie. Nicole’s son Sparrow (who is also Benji's nephew) served as the ring bearer on the day.

The actress was first spotted spending time with the Good Charlotte guitarist in May 2014 when they were seen walking hand in hand in New York. According to reports it was Nicole, who is married to Benji’s brother Joel, who set the two up together. But the two have actually been friends since Cameron was dating Justin Timberlake 10 yeas ago!

Benji recently said in an interview that the thought of settling down and starting a family had become more attractive - giving a hint of what was to come! "It's what every man wants," he said, "whether they admit it or not." Rumors of an engagement began to emerge in October when Cameron was seen with some new sparkle on her left hand, so everyone was left guessing until they confirmed that they were planning to marry. But very few people expected them to get married so quickly.

While Cameron is the less traditional of the too, one source told reporters that Benji wanted them to settle down before they had kids (watch this space!) According to reports, 35-year-old Benji even received the seal of approval from Cameron’s mum Billie who was hoping the two would settle down together.

The wedding was made a reality by planners Yifat Oren and Stefanie Cove, while flowers came from The Velvet Garden, both companies used by Drew Barrymore on her wedding day. Drew even had a part in the wedding as she was one of Cameron’s bridesmaids, along with Nicole, Cameron’s sister Chimene and her assistant Jesse Lutz.

The couple had a white marquee erected in the garden to hide them from view. There were also matching white walkways and lamps positioned throughout the gardens. The wedding was held in front of about 90 guests inside the lavish home, while the reception was held in the marquee.

The couple told People magazine, "We couldn't be happier to begin our new journey together surrounded by our closest family and friends.”
