Fall In Love: Autumn Wedding Inspiration

John Keats once wrote that autumn is the ‘Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness.’ Although fall might not be the most popular time of year to get married, there are lots of beautiful autumnal details you can add to your day.

When you think of autumn it conjures up images of red and gold leaves, warm apple cider and pumpkins. So our moodboard contains those very colors – rich reds, warm browns and hints of gold.

If you live in a part of the world where the trees change color in the fall season you are certain to get some amazing wedding photographs. What can be more beautiful than a bride and groom with a backdrop of golden oak trees?

As for your wedding details you have so much to choose from. Decorate with pinecones, dried greenery, leaves, figs, and light up your reception with warming candlelight. You can include small autumnal details on your invitations and menus and serve a meal of delicious fall staples like pumpkin soup, candied apples and warm drinks.  This is also the perfect season for rustic decorations that are easily available to buy, or you can even make yourself!

Your fall bouquet can incorporate the season’s colors (like red) or even include some herbs and autumn foliage. Decorate your cake with fall details, or if you’re getting married in October you could go all out and have a Halloween wedding cake!

Bridesmaids will look beautiful in red, and if you're attending a fall wedding and can't think what to wear, then you could always be a scarlet lady

There are so many ideas and sources of inspiration for planning a fall wedding day. Take a look at our Pinterest board that is brimming over with ideas!
