Golden Brown: Copper Wedding Inspiration

Copper is a color full of warmth and, because of its associations with wealth, it is the color of luxury.  It’s also a color that is making waves in the bridal world and will be appearing more and more as brides embrace a copper theme.

Wedding gowns are available with hints of copper, or a white dress can be given hints of copper such as copper flowers, hair accessories and rose gold jewelry. While your bridesmaids might not be down with wearing a copper gown, they can wear gowns in harmonizing tones. Copper colored flower crowns and accessories are the perfect way to incorporate your theme. Grooms and groomsmen can also incorporate copper tones to their look with accents like a copper boutonnière, tie, bow tie or handkerchief.

Autumnal bouquets are perfect when working with a copper theme. You could keep it simple with a bouquet of copper David Austin roses, orange gerberas and hints of red daisies. You could even have a bouquet made up of copper flowers that you will be able to keep forever.

Add a warm glow with reception centerpieces in warm tones with flowers, berries and candlelight. You can incorporate your copper theme with painted mason jars and copper detailing. Polished copper can look glamorous and elegant, but aged copper accents will give your wedding a rustic or vintage feel.

For wedding favors you have a lot of options at your disposal. Caramels in copper colored wrappers in boxes tied with copper colored ribbons are a delicious and pretty option. Then again you could give out copper keys, handmade treats or even copper jewelry!

What better drinks to serve to your guests than golden champagne or sparkling wine. If cocktails are more your thing then serve copper colored cocktails like sidecars, the classic Old Fashioned or whiskey sours.
