How To be The Ultimate Stress-Free Bride
Getting carried away with wedding planning is easy, and with so much to do panic can set in. But you can remain calm and not less stress get the better of you. There are a few easy ways you can avoid becoming a stressed-out bride.
It’s just one day!
Don’t lose sight of the fact that a wedding is just one day in your life and there are lots of other things going on in the world. While it’s easy to get carried away, try not to talk about your wedding to everyone you meet! When you’re at work try not to think about the wedding and focus on the job at hand. Remember when talking to friends that they have problems and things going on in their lives and you’re still the person they turn to for advice.
Bond with bridesmaids
Your bridesmaids are an important part of your day. We’ve heard stories of brides pushing their bridesmaids to breaking point and even destroying friendships. Give your bridesmaids the chance to make some decisions and have their say – if they really hate the gown you have chosen perhaps you can come to a compromise. You could choose the color and then they can find a gown to suit their figure. Plan some nice lunches and make time to bond with them. The more you all enjoy the process the more likely they are to help you with planning the wedding.
Try to relax
Easier said than done, right? Try some relaxation techniques like meditation, or take yourself to a spa for some R&R. If you’re finding it difficult to sleep then make your bedroom a relaxing zone. Ban technology from the bedroom and fill your room with scents like lavender, jasmine and chamomile that all have relaxing benefits.
Ask for advice
You can drive yourself mad with ‘What-ifs!’ It’s easy for your mind to work overtime and throw yourself a stress fest! One way to combat it is to ask your friends who are already married for advice. Ask them questions like what would they do differently, what was their biggest challenge, and what their wedding planning tips would be. You might be surprised by their answers!
