Pastel Power! Baby Blue Wedding Inspiration

Baby blue is a favorite amongst brides-to-be and it’s easy to see why. Blue is one of the most traditional wedding colors, but baby blue is especially cute and versatile at a wedding. Blue is the color of trust, honesty and loyalty, as well as creating a sense of calmness and relaxation.

You can team baby blue with chocolate brown, contrast it with a darker shade of blue, greens or pastel pinks. There are lots of different combinations that can work with your day.

There are actually different variations of baby blue with wonderful names like little boy blue, baby blue eyes and beau blue.

The easiest way to work baby blue into your day is at an outdoor ceremony. Think sky blue and pastel tones of sunny skies. It also works well by the sea, with beach, maritime or seaside accents.

For a traditional venue such as a hotel or a castle you can pair your shades with gold and metallic accents – like gold candleholders on a baby blue runner. If you’re having a rustic or vintage wedding then mason jars painted in the shade you’ve chosen as well as silks, satins and brushed cottons.
