Real Wedding - Danielle and Parker in Urbana, Illinois
Peacock feathers, woodland walks and cupcakes – when we saw this Illinois wedding we were blown away by the beautiful details.
Danielle and Parker were together for two years when they said ‘I do’. The couple spent a year planning their wedding, although many of the details were done in the last few months at Danielle explains, “I mostly spent just the last month and a half after work for a few hours every couple days buying decorations, painting old window frames, and putting things together.
“It was a challenge to realize that I couldn’t please everyone,” Danielle says, “and then getting the guts to speak up for myself, something I don’t typically do.”
The details came together to create an unforgettable wedding. Danielle had some very special details that were full of meaning. Her something blue and new was the custom ring, something borrowed was the a bracelet from the store manager, “My earrings were custom wedding gauges from Etsy, and my ‘something old’ was the larger oval ring from my Grandmother who passed away the year before.”
The wedding was special for everyone involved and filled with very special moments. “The thing I remember most about our day was the moment he turned around at our first look. My bundle of nerves just went away and I knew I was where I needed to be. I think the highlight of my day was when we took pictures right after the ceremony as husband and wife and when we had our first dance to Ed Sheeran’s ‘Thinking out Loud’.”
