Whitney Port Is Getting Married! We Predict the Details

We’ve been waiting with bated breath for the wedding since Whitney Port announced her engagement back in November 2013, but the designer and reality star is still yet to reveal a date for her big day. So we figured that we’ll try to imagine what gorgeous gown Whitney will walk down the aisle in... and thankfully, there’s been just enough info to keep us fans excited as she drops hints on her blog and Instagram

Admittedly taking her time to plan the wedding, with the help of her wedding coordinator sister, Whitney has taken a relaxed approach to bridal prep.  And we predict that her down-to-earth vibe style will translate into an effortlessly chic look for her wedding day. In 2014 Whitney teamed up with Wedding Paper Divas to design a range of wedding stationary, and the result is perfect for any stylish couple out there. The invites reflect Whitney’s boho chic, and feature colourful aztec prints. No doubt they’ll be in the mail for her guests already.

Recently she confessed that her fiance Tim Rosenstock actually proposed twice, as his initial plan of a romantic Australian proposal was scuppered when she overheard him talking on the phone before their trip. Not to be disappointed by TV producer Tim’s impromptu proposal, the pair did get their fairytale (second) proposal in Sydney. And luckily for Whitney, this allowed her time to give her groom-to-be some helpful instructions on her dream engagement ring.

Check out the sketches of the ring by Australian jeweler Ron Bensimon, which make us fall in love with the 3-carat oval shaped diamond all over again.

With such a stunning rose gold engagement sparkler, we think Whitney might follow long-time pal Lauren Conrad and opt for a simple band for her wedding ring.

She did however, hint that her wedding jewellery may include statement pieces like these eccentric tiered necklaces and gems she modelled at the Dannijo showroom in New York.

The fashionista, who has worked for DVF in the past, has divulged that she will design her own wedding dress in collaboration with another designer - no doubt following her aesthetic of less is more for her big day look. Whitney described her bridal style as ‘eclectic, colourful and textural’ last year when she spoke about her upcoming marriage to Brides Magazine. Favouring more laid-back beachy styles, she has cited designs from Reem Akra, and Naeem Khan as wedding day inspiration.

While the statuesque blonde could carry off most wedding dress styles, Whitney has been dropping clues that her look will veer away from the traditional. She said that she may go for a shorter dress so that she can hit the dancefloor all night long without having to worry about a train. Another potential choice would be for her to wear a simple in a no fuss slip dress, which would definitely be a firm favourite and flatter her fantastic figure.

We could see Whitney in this Monique Lhuillier vintage-inspired, embellished dress from the Winter 2015 collection.

Definitely a non-traditional bride, we know that Whitney will surely wow the crowd in whatever look she chooses. We can’t wait to see her dress!

One last thing we would love to know is will her Hills BFF Lauren Conrad be there, and what will she be wearing?!
