5 Ways to Add Fun to Your Wedding Reception

While your guests are sure to create their own fun at your wedding reception, it's a good idea to come up with ways for guests to break the ice. They may not know everyone at their table and something fun and quirky will get the conversation flowing. Why not try some of these ideas?

Have a limbo competition!

How low can you go? Find out who the most limber guest is with a limbo competition! People may be a bit shy at first, but once they get into the swing of it, their competitive nature will take over! It's a great way to get people who don't want to dance out of their seats too!

Get some Mad libs!

This is a great way to inject some fun into your wedding. Your guests will have a great time filling them out, and you're bound to have a good laugh when reading back over them when the whole thing is over! It's really easy to customize your own too, so it's a pretty inexpensive option.

Have hula hoops!

If there are any kids at your wedding, they might get a bit bored at some stage during the day, so it's a good idea to have some things to entertain them. Hula hoops are a great idea, as kids love them, and the adults are bound to have a go when all the little ones have gone to bed too!

Put board games on tables

If you don't want to go down the route of having flowers as the centrepiece on each table, you could have a bit of fun by having board games such as Jenga or Hungry Hippos instead. Once again this will help break the ice for guests, and it's great for people who don't like dancing!

Have oversized board games outside

Depending on the amount of space available at your wedding, you could have oversized board games like checkers or Snakes and Ladders outside. Any kids would be entertained for hours, and the adults wouldn't be able to resist having a go either!
