Jessica Simpson Marries Eric Johnson at a California ranch

It took them three-and-a-half years to make it to the alter, but Jessica Simpson has married former NFL player Eric Johnson at the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, California.

250 guests including Ashlee Simpson and her fiancé Evan Ross, Jessica Alba, Cash Warren, CaCee Cobb and Donald Faison, witnessed the happy couple exchanging their vows and cheered when they were announced as man and wife.

The bride wore a custom made Carolina Herrera gown that cost an estimated $30,000. Jessica's make-up artist Karan Mitchell used a romantic palette for her look, and Jessica's friend and stylist Nicole Chavez added Neil Lane diamond earrings as a finishing touch.

The couple's son, one-year-old Ace, was a ring bearer at the ceremony and their daughter, two-year-old Maxwell, walked down the aisle as a flower girl with Ashlee's five-year-old son, Bronx. The couple told people magazine; “To say 'I do' in front of family, friends and, most importantly, our children has been the happiest moment of our lives."

The magazine carried the first photo of the couple and Jessica said in a statement, "The whole weekend was magical for us. We feel complete."

Celebrations began long before the wedding day, with a rehearsal dinner on Thursday evening and a big southern-inspired BBQ buffet on July 4 for all of their wedding guests. The wedding reportedly cost $1.4 million from start to finish.

Jessica, who turns 34 on July 10, got engaged to Eric in November 2010 just five months after they began dating. According to one guest, 34-year-old Eric choked up when he began to recite his vows and had to start over again, while Jessica was so nervous she said her own name when addressing her husband-to-be! Thankfully the two have a sense of humour and were able to laugh off their mistakes.
