Real Wedding - Erika and Robbie in San Francisco, California

The bride was Marilyn Monroe and the groom was Superman – what's not to love about this wedding!

Erika is clearly a Marilyn super-fan and has loved the actress since she was a little girl. “I love Marilyn Monroe because she made me feel comfortable in my own skin, she says. “I have always been hourglass shaped and used to be very self-conscious about my body. All the models I saw growing up were thin and tiny. Marilyn's body shape drew me to her, she always seemed so confident in her own skin."

The couple love visiting the Hollywood Museum, and Robbie asked them if he could propose there on Marilyn's birthday – and they said yes! Inside Edition came and set up cameras to catch the moment Robbie got down on one knee in the middle of a huge Marilyn exhibit. He asked Erika to marry him in the exact room in the former Max Factor makeup building in Hollywood where Marilyn became a blonde.

Because they have been together seven years, they called the wedding their '7 Year Itch' after Marilyn's movie (without the billowing dress over a subway grate). They decided to get married in San Francisco city hall because it was the same location Marilyn and Joe DiMaggio tied the knot. They even got married on the same date, 60 years after the famous couple exchanged vows (we think this couple will last a lot longer than the 274 day Monroe DiMaggio marriage).

30 people attended the wedding and the couple said they loved every minute of the day. They stayed in San Francisco for their honeymoon and did all the fun touristy things like visit Alcatraz, ate their favorite vegan food and, as self confessed Disney nerds, they had a great time at the Disney Family Museum.
