Lela Rose bridesmaids

It’s not hard to fall in love with Dallas-based Lela Rose’s designs – especially when her bridal gowns come with quirky, architectural names like The Bridge and The Palace.

It’s no different with the bridesmaids’ gowns, available via online bridal powerhouse, the Dessy Group. The latest lookbook is full of the playful little details we’ve come to expect from Rose, with a distinctly Princess and the Pea vibe – just check out those mattresses!

While the settings may be fun and a little off-beat, with vintage floral wallpaper, piles of country-style cushions (comfy!) and floating chairs, the designs are adorable and utterly wearable.

Fabrics are varied – think crinkle chiffon and gazar – and colours are many! We’d love to see a group of ‘maids in a gazar variety: punchy purple, bold blue and tantalizing turquoise, anyone?

Equally, you could go the more traditional route and outfit them all in the same crinkle chiffon number, or go fully formal with a floor-length number for your solo bridesmaid (let her go all out!).

The bad news? Here it comes… For the budget bridesmaid, Lela Rose won’t be a consideration. Prices hover at around the $300 mark, so do take your ‘maids’ budgets into consideration before selecting a favorite!

If you have your heart absolutely set on a Lela Rose dress but your bridesmaids are having some trouble coming up with the cash, an offer of help – even meeting them halfway – will always be welcome.

For our European readers, of course, the bridesmaids’ costs fall into the couple’s remit – so think carefully about how many ‘maids you’re going with before you start shopping, and set yourself a strict budget. Do you want this dress for your gals enough to compromise on flowers or décor? Do the math before making the decision!
