Real Wedding - Felicia and Craig in West Lafayette, Ohio
Felicia and Craig Hunter are high-school sweethearts who were together a little over five years when Craig popped the question.
"Craig is a volunteer fire fighter, so the fire station has always been a part of our lives," says Felicia. "My sister's graduation party was held at the fire station in May 2013, so the day before some of my family members including Craig and me were at the station decorating. Out of nowhere I heard sirens and saw lights - so everyone runs outside to see what's going on.
"When I get outside, I see Craig's family pulling in the parking lot - and at that point I really don't know what's going on. Then I finally see the fire truck, with a big banner saying 'Felicia will you marry me' and out jumps Craig! It was perfect. All of our loved ones were there with us - and I had no idea whatsoever. He did a great job hiding it."
The couple decided that December to marry the following March, giving themselves around three months to plan everything - and Felicia did a lot of the DIYing herself. "I made the flower girl baskets, and I thoroughly enjoyed being able to do that. I did most of the décor myself."
Felicia says she enjoyed the process but found the nitty-gritty of menu planning, finalizing a guest list and addressing envelopes a little less fun. "It was such a special time that I'll never forget and always cherish."
